Junior Front of House & Salon Assistant (Traineeship)

Part Time/Full Time

 

Must be available to work Tuesday – Saturday and a minimum of one late night till 7pm.

Above award wages apply, plus generous personal incentives & team rewards.

Must be willing to undertake Certificate 3 in Business/Business Admin OR Certificate 3 in Retail traineeship – study time allowed.

No beauty experience is necessary for this role however would suit someone with a passion for administration and organisation within an creative and interactive workspace.

Main responsibilities of the role:

Customer Service:

• Greeting clients

• Answering the phone

• Making appointments, rescheduling, cancelling and rebooking

• Providing information to clients about our services and products

• Upselling treatments and products

• Calendar optimisation

• Selling retail items

• Confirming appointments and sending electronic forms to clients

• Following up with clients

Housekeeping in salon:

• Keeping the salon looking clean and tidy at all times to give our clients the best first impression upon entering the premises

• Keeping all equipment clean and maintained at all times

• Keeping treatment trolleys well stocked at all times

• Support other team members with anything they may need

Stock control:

• Unpack and put away new stock orders

• Update stock levels

• Assist other team members with any stock control requirements

Training:

• Undertake all study requirements for Certificate 3 traineeship

• Undertake all on-site & off-site training that may be required to improve your role

• Attend weekly staff meetings

Minimum requirements:

• Have fantastic customer service skills

• Thrives on building relationships with people (salon management, other team members & clients)

• Has great computer literacy skills

• Is great with writing and can compose professional correspondence

• Understands the importance of optimizing a calendar and scheduling clients correctly

• You enjoy learning and upskilling

• You love a team environment and working together, see the success and growth of the business

• You have a “can-do” attitude and don’t like letting people down

• Are interested in attending industry events and ongoing training
